Teasdale Fenton is a family-owned Property Cleaning and Restoration company that has been serving Tri-State area for over 180 years. Over those years, we have become a name people know and trust for their carpet cleaning and property restoration needs. Unfortunately, a lot of the time, property restoration involves a lot more than just cleaning. It involves reconstruction… which can be everything from framing to cabinets.  And now we are expanding into the Columbus market, where we are looking to add to our Restoration Carpenter team.

What does a Restoration Carpenter do… well I’m glad you asked. In this role, your job responsibilities include:

  • Installation of foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.
  • Fitting and installation of window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim.
  • Removal of damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and then repair or replace.
  • Inspection of ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
  • Work directly with Project Managers and/or Estimators as to scope of work to be performed, including budget.

To be successful in this position, you will need the following:

  • High School diploma (or GED) with 2-4 years of industry experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pass background check including a review of driving record and drug screen.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team depending on the size of the project.
  • Comfortable working in both residential and commercial job locations.
  • Able to provide your own tools, which would be necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
